This allows for the flower to be a usable semi-automatable feature in botania that can be a very effective "emergency generator". This results in a stream of mana bursts being sent from the Spreader in the ground up through a Mana Detector and into a Mana Pool. The Hydroangeas generates Mana by consuming Water source blocks in a 3×3 area around it. In the Lexica Botania there's a page called "Numerical Mana". The timer only activates if it has not received a redstone signal, so you can use it to dispense something whenever the flowers have stopped generating mana. The Munchdew is a block added by the Botania mod. The mana it generates fluctuates. It is limited to primed TNT and can't interact with other forms of explosions such as an exploding Creeper. You can make animal farms, auto breed them and kill them with Botania. The more sparked pools you have, the faster the terrasteel will craft, reducing the chances that stuff despawns. You could also use Red Stringed Spoofers, though that would be more resource-intensive. You can make them using the new crafting station, the Alchemy Table.
